The term exploitation, covers- amongst others, labor exploitation, sexual exploitation, domestic servitude, organ trafficking, illegal adoptions and the exploitation in to committing criminal offences. The means that are used in order to succeed the above-mentioned forms of exploitation are, violence, threats, deception, misuse of power and the creation of false dept.

The Office of Combating Human Trafficking, which comes under the Crime Combating Department of Police Headquarters, is responsible for the investigation of Human Trafficking cases. The combating of Human Trafficking is the main priority of our office which in cooperation with other governmental and no governmental authorities is in the position to provide support and safety to the victims and to the possible victims of human trafficking.
